4-5.11.2022 a kick-off meeting of the project for increasing the digital knowledge of young refugees has been held by the UWB in Pilsen, having hosted the Polish partner – the Ignatianum Foundation (Krakow, Poland). A 2-year project “Enhancement of Academic and Employment Potential of Ukrainian Young Refugees via Applied Digital Competences” (Future4Refugees, 2022-2024) has been launched in September by the UWB in partnership with the Polish partner. The project is funded by the European Commission within the KA210-YOU – Small-scale partnerships in youth call, Erasmus+ programme.
During the meeting the Polish guests have acquainted with the university campus and its research facilities, have established working contacts with the UWB project team. Also the main grounding documents were designed and approved. During the next meetings it is planned to start designing the learning materials with the respective experts.
Short project notice:
The overall project goal is to design and test the hybrid methodology (formal and non-formal learning approaches) of enhancing the knowledge and skills of young Ukrainian refugees to employ modern digital technologies to solve real-life cases from different spheres of human life.
